Faithful Living, Lasting Legacy

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

Matthew 25:23

Care Ministries presents “Faithful Living, Lasting Legacy,” a two-part initiative designed to help Lake Avenue Church congregants — especially those 65 and older — prepare for the future with wisdom, faith, and care.

The first session, Stewardship & Estate Planning, is led by Rich Chinen and Les Stocker and provides practical guidance on organizing financial affairs, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and the thoughtful distribution of both assets and meaningful possessions. The second session, Living Well, Finishing Well, focuses on personal, relational, and healthcare decisions, helping participants consider caregiving preferences, end-of-life wishes, and how to communicate these clearly to loved ones.

This initiative reflects Lake Avenue Church’s commitment to whole-life discipleship, encouraging participants to thoughtfully plan for the future while prayerfully reflecting on their faith, relationships, and the legacy they hope to leave behind. It will be offered every year, providing an ongoing opportunity for participants to revisit and update their plans as circumstances change.
